Completed MSc studies in a relevant field or equivalent degree, according to the Law. Admission is conducted by the PhD Admission Committee.

Summary
The goal of the study program of doctoral studies in Information Technology is to educate highly competent experts with the knowledge and skills necessary for the research in the field of Information Technology. The studies include the development of problem-solving skills, (self-) critical thinking and team work. PhD graduates are trained for the most complex work in higher education institutions, scientific institutes, state and public companies, industry, consulting institutions, as well as in research and development teams.

The doctoral studies are intended to train staff who will analyze, synthesize and evaluate possible solutions in the field of modern Information Technology. Since the field of application of information technologies is very diverse and dynamic, the development of creative thinking and the ability to solve emerging problems independently is of special importance.

Specific goals achieved by the study program include:
· considering, understanding, formulating, solving and presenting problems;
· development of analytical skills, (self-)critical thinking and leadership skills;
· development of scientific thought and creativity in the field of Information Technology;
· independent and team planning and realization of scientific research;
· preparation and publication of scientific results in journals and conferences in the country and abroad according to the highest technical standards;
· training for the preparation of documentation for competitions and active participation in national and international research and development projects;
· development of the ability to disseminate knowledge and results of scientific research;
· understanding the implications of professional activities on security, work environment and other social activities.

The study program of doctoral academic studies in Information Technology belongs to the technical-technological educational-scientific field. Upon completion of the studies, the student acquires the scientific title of Doctor of Science – Information Technology.
